Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Zeitspur, a time-tracking application provided by [Legal entity name — see Imprint] ("Zeitspur", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Zeitspur.

2. The service

Zeitspur lets you track time against projects and tasks, add custom fields, generate reports, and export your data. We may add, change, or remove features over time as the product evolves.

3. Accounts

You need an account to use Zeitspur. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@zeitspur.app if you suspect unauthorised access. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Plans, billing, and payment

Zeitspur is offered on a Free plan and paid Starter and Pro subscription plans. Current features and pricing for each plan are shown on the Billing page.

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, as selected at checkout) until cancelled. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Polar.sh, which acts as merchant of record for your purchase and handles payment collection and applicable sales tax/VAT. By subscribing, you also agree to Polar's applicable terms for the transaction.

We may change subscription prices from time to time. If a price change affects your active subscription, we'll notify you in advance; continuing your subscription after the change takes effect means you accept the new price.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from Billing → Manage subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access to paid features until the end of the billing period you already paid for. 6. Acceptable use

When using Zeitspur, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data, or to the systems underlying the service;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service, except where permitted by law;
• Use automated means to access the service in a way that places excessive load on it.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Your content and data

You own the projects, tasks, time entries, and other content you create in Zeitspur ("your content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, store, and process your content solely to provide and improve the service to you. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle personal data.

You can export your data at any time in machine-readable format, and permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Your data.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep Zeitspur available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, and features may occasionally be unavailable. We'll try to give notice of planned downtime that materially affects the service where reasonably possible.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law. Beyond that, to the extent permitted by law, our liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service is excluded.

10. Termination

You may stop using Zeitspur and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, including after giving you a reasonable opportunity to fix the issue where appropriate. On termination, your right to use the service ends; data deletion is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do, and for significant changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active subscribers in advance. Continued use of Zeitspur after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Governing law / jurisdiction], without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country you live in. See our Imprint for details on dispute resolution.
